City profile
丹江口市位于湖北省西北部、汉江中上游，地处江汉平原与秦巴山区结合部、鄂豫两省交界处。全市总面积3121平方公里(其中水域面积510.73平方公里)，辖20个镇（办、处、区）、194个村、21个社区，总人口47万，是南水北调中线工程核心水源区，是全国文明城市、国家卫生城市、国家园林城市、“国家第四批‘绿水青山就是金山银山’实践创新基地”、全国百佳幸福县（市）、全国无障碍环境城市、湖北省森林城市、湖北省生态文明建设示范市。
Danjiangkou City is located at the northwest of Hubei Province,the upper reaches of the Hanjiang River and the joining part of Hanjiang Plain and Qinba Mountains and Hubei and Henan provinces. The City is,covering 3,121 km2 (in which 510.73km2 water areas),governing 20 townships(offices,districts),194 villages,21 communities,with a populationof 470, 000,the core water resource area of the Middle-line Project of South-North Water Transferring,awarded as National Model City, National Hygienic City, National Garden City, Practice Innovation Base for Two Mountains Theory, Top 100 Happy City, National Barrier-Free City, Hubei Forest City and Hubei Ecological Civilization Demonstration City.
1、历史文化比较悠久
4000年前，大禹在此治水，2500年前后，孔子屈原先后到此赋歌，孕育了沧浪文化。丹江口市建置历史达2200余年，春秋战国史称均陵，自秦代设武当县，隋唐改称均州，民国始称均县。老县城1958年修建丹江口水利枢纽时全部淹没，现址依坝建城，因地处丹江汇入汉江的口子处而得名。1983年经国务院批准撤县设市，1985年被国务院批准为甲类开放城市。城区依水而建、缘水而兴、因水而美，素有“中国水都”之美誉。武当道教文化、汉水文化、沧浪文化、红色文化、移民文化、民歌文化在这里交相辉映，武当武术享誉世界。
1、Long history culture
4000 years ago, Da Yu governed water here. About 2500 years ago, Confucius and Mencius made poems here and cultivated Canglang Culture. Danjiangkou City has a history of 2200 years,called Junling in the Spring and Autumn,Warring States Periods, Wudang County since the Qin Dynasty,changed to Junzhou in the Sui and Tang dynasties,and called Jun County in the Republic of China. The ancient city proper was covered in water when Danjiangkou Dam was built in 1958 and the current city proper was built along the dam. Jun County was changed to Danjiangkou City in 1983 under the approval of the State Council and approved as Level-A Open City in 1985. The City is built along water,becoming prosperous and charming for water,well known as China Water Reservoir. Here are Wudang Taoist Culture,Hanjiang River Culture,Canglang Culture, Red Revolution Culture, Migrating Culture and folk songs culture,and word-famous Wudang Wushu .
2、旅游资源比较独特
境内世界文化遗产、5A级风景区、道教圣地—武当山与南水北调中线源头、亚洲第一大人工淡水湖、国家级风景名胜区—丹江口水库珠联璧合。全市有武当山、丹江口大坝、静乐宫、太极峡、南神道、沧浪海等A级以上景区17个，近年来，武当大明峰、南水北调中线工程纪念园等文旅项目相继建成，是全国水上摩托艇大赛的定点举办城市。先后荣获“国家旅游名片”、“中国美丽山水城市”、“中国县域旅游竞争力百强县市”等荣誉称号。

Here are Wudang Mountains,the World Cultural Heritage, AAAAA scenic spot and holy land of Taoism,and Danjiangkou Reservoir,the core water resource area of theMiddle-line Project of South-North Water Transferring,the biggest man-made fresh water lake and state-level scenic spot. Here are Wudang Mountains,Danjiangkou Dam, Jingle Palace, Taichi Gorge, South Divine Road, Canglang Lake and other 12 main spots. Recently, Wudang Daming Peak and Memorial Garden ofthe Middle-line Project of South-North Water Transferring and other cultural tourism projects has beenfinished,and the City is selected as the Designated Hosting City of National Water Motor Competition,and awarded manytitles,such asNational Tourist Brand, China Charming Mountain-Lake City, Top100 County-level City of Tourism Competitiveness.
3、特色物产比较丰富
年产柑桔35万吨，是我国北缘最大的优质柑橘生产基地。特色水产品种类众多，鲢鱼、鳙鱼、银鱼等淡水鱼类通过有机鱼产地及产品认证。拥有武当蜜桔、丹江口翘嘴鲌、丹江口鱤鱼、丹江口鳙鱼、丹江口青虾、武当榔梅、均州名晒烟、金桩堰贡米等8个国家地理标志产品。
3、Rich special local products
The City provides 350,000 tons of oranges every year, as the biggest fine orange production base of north China . Here are many special aquatic products , silver carp,bighead,whitebait and other fresh water fishes have obtained the certificates of organic fish product and production base. The City has had 8 National Geographical Identification Products,Wudang Orange, Danjiangkou Mouth Culter, Danjiangkou Yellow Cheek Fish, Danjiangkou Bighead, Danjiangkou Shrimp,Wudang Plum, Junzhou Tobacco Leaf,and Jinzhuangyan Imperial Rice.
丹江口市是“武当道茶”品牌的发源地。2021年十堰市已将“武当道茶”品牌改为“武当山茶”区域公用品牌，举十堰市之力共同打造。丹江口市现有茶园面积5万亩，采摘面积3万亩，年产量达到1000吨，综合产值达4亿元。
Danjiangkou City is the home of Wudang Taoist Tea,changed to Wudang Mountain Tea by Shiyan Municipal Government in 2021. Now Danjiangkou City has 50,000 mu tea garden with 30,000 mu of picking tea leaves,a yearly capacity of 1000 tons and 0. 4 billion RMB yuan of comprehensive output value.
4、生态环境保护良好
围绕确保“一库净水永续北送”目标，深入推进生态文明建设，丹江口库区水质长年始终稳定保持在国家地表水环境质量标准II类以上，库区109项水质监测指标中有106项达Ⅰ类水质标准，全市森林覆盖率达65.7%，2012年、2014年、2015年三次被评为全国生态环境质量轻微变好县市，2015年荣获首届“中国好水”水源地称号，2017年被国家环保部列为“新三湖”（丹江口水库、云南洱海、河北白洋淀）保护范围，2018年被列为国家战略水资源保障区。南水北调中线一期工程自2014年12月12日正式通水，惠及京、津、冀、豫24个大中城市和124个县近1亿人口，基本缓解北方严重缺水局面。
4、Good Ecological Environmental Protection
Oriented to the aim of ensuring a lake of clean water to Beijing,the City has been promoting ecological civilization so that the water in Danjiangkou Reservoir has continuously maintained above Level ll of National Environmental Quality Standard for Surface Water,among 109 water quality survey indicators 106 items are above Level I.The forest coverage is 65.7%，awarded as National Ecological Environment Quality Improving City for three years (2012 ,2014 ,2015), Water Resource of China Good Water in 2015,classified into New Three Lakes Protection bythe State Ministry of Environmental Protection in 2017,and classified National Strategical Waster Resource Guaranteeing Area in 2018.TheMiddle-line Project of South-North Water Transferring began providing water to 24 main cities and 130 counties in Beijing,Tianjin,Henan and Hebei province in Dec 12,2014,basically solving the serious lack of water in North China .
5、移民大县（市）全国少有
丹江口是南水北调中线工程坝区、库区和移民主要安置区，先后两期移民搬迁26万人，占现有人口的57%。两期工程共淹没土地面积455平方公里，占全市国土总面积的16.2%。淹没的人、地、房三大指标占鄂豫两省的三分之一，占湖北省的三分之二，是湖北省淹没面积最大、搬迁安置人数最多、移民工作任务最重的县（市）。广大库区干部群众在服务国家重大项目建设中铸就了伟大的移民精神。
5、Rare City of Migrants
Danjiangkou City is the main settlement place for the Middle-line Project of South-North Water Transferring, Danjiangkou Dam,Danjiangkou Reservoir migrants, 260, 000 in total,about 57% of the city population. The Middle-line Project of South-North Water Transferring has covered land of 455 km2,about 16. 2% of the total land area. The submerged population,land and houses are one third ofHubei and Henan province,two thirds of Hubei Province,as the city of the biggest submerged land,the most migrants to remove and settle,and the heaviest migrating task. The officials and people has formed the great Migrating Spirit in serving national key program construction .
6、交通格局日臻完善
丹江口是“三阳”（襄阳、郧阳、南阳）腹地重要交通节点，距武汉、西安、郑州均在400公里左右，离襄阳机场、武当山机场1小时左右车程。汉十高铁在境内设有两站，襄渝铁路、汉十高速贯穿全境，境内有一级公路4条，二级公路10条。正在建设的十淅高速通车以后，丹江口的交通状况将进一步改善。
6、Completing Transport Structure
Danjiangkou is the key transportation Jink of Xiangyang City, Shiyan City and Nanyang City,about 400 km to Wuhan City, Xi'an City,and Zhengzhou City,and 60-minute drive to Wudangshan Airport, 90-minute drive to Xiangyang Airport and 110-minute drive to NanyangAirport. Wuhan-Shiyan High-speed Railway sets two stations here, Xiangyang Chongqing Railway and Wuhan-Shiyan Expressway run through the territory,and 4 level-1 roads and 10 level-ll roads. The under-construction Shiyan-Xichuan Expressway will improve Danjiangkou transportation .

著名企业东风公司、汉江集团、农夫山泉在此投资兴业。全市现有规模以上企业171家，上市企业1家，形成了汽车及装备制造、水资源及农副产品加工、新能源新材料、生物医药、轻工纺织服装、电子信息等为主的产业格局，是湖北省重要的汽车零部件工业集散地，国内唯一氮氧传感器自主品牌企业在此落户，汽车传动轴生产能力位列全国第二，是全国最大的甾体激素中间体生产基地。2021年，全市完成地区生产总值302.1亿元；规模以上工业总产值达到336.3亿元；完成固定资产投资120.3亿元；实现社会消费品零售总额112.1亿元；地方公共财政预算收入12.5亿元.

丹江口市位于湖北省西北部，毗邻河南省、陕西省，是我国东、中部地区通往西部地区的重要门户和通道，是中西部的交汇点。丹江口市地处我国地理位置的几何中心，承东启西，毗南邻北，交通便利。以丹江口为中心，方圆400公里范围内有武汉、郑州、西安等三大省会城市和20余个中等城市。距离武当山机场60分钟、襄阳机场90分钟、南阳机场110分钟左右车程。汉十高铁在境内设有两个站点，襄渝铁路、汉十高速贯穿全境，境内一级公路4条，二级公路10条。正在建设的十淅高速通车以后，丹江口的交通状况将进一步改善。汉丹货运铁路在丹江口市设有货运站，距离园区9公里。有货物线3条，专用线1条，可办理整车、集装箱、批量发等业务。据数据显示，啤酒饮料类货物公路外运价为0. 35元／吨公里（短程0. 6元／吨公里），铁路为0. 15元／吨公里。

Danjiangkou City is at the geometrical center of China geographical location,connecting the east and the west,neighboring the south and the north,with a convenient transportation. Wuhan-Danjiangkou Freight Railway has a freight station here,with 3 freight lines and 1 exclusive line, 9 km to the industrial park,dealing with whole carriage,container,and batch freights.According to the relevant data,the road traffic expense for beer and other beverages is 0.35 RMB yuan per tone km
